Asura's Wrath Review

Aight, its here haha its finally here yo!! AAAAAWWWW SHIT!!!!

Here we go. This game is legendary. The end.

Naw but seriously, i haven't played somethin' this original in years. Asura's Wrath puts you in control of Asrua (duh) one of the 8 legendary Demigod Guardian Generals that watch over the earth. It starts off with you and your Demigod homies bustin' up some of the evil forces (Ghoma) attempting to, what looks like take over the earth. After you do a couple cinematic button sync's and listen to some dialog. The story starts up. Long story kinda short Asura is set up and framed for killing the Emperor and then beat to shit and banished from Demigod status and cast out of the high heavens and slammed down to earth. Where there he decides to seek vengeance for his murdered wife and kidnapped daughter. Oh did i mention that they killed his woman and snatched his kid!? Yea, i'd be pretty pissed too (his wife wasn't exactly hard on the eyes).

So now that you know his wrathful purpose. Here's some shizzle about the game. The gameplay is a hack and slash... without the hack and/or slash. Just fists, six to be specific. Six mechanized badass fists. You perform combo systems that if examined closely resemble Street Fighter quite a bit. You have whats referred to as a RAGE METER. When that builds up you are able to tap into Asura's Rage and kick even more much needed ass. Sound familiar? *Street Fighter and Marvel Vs Capcom* Seriously though the controls are ace and so is the fight engine.

The game itself is a visual masterpiece to behold. The styled cell shading (similar to SSFIV) makes for an amazing ride through an original very well designed game. From what i remember hearing in previews and interviews. This game is based off of a Japanese fable of the gods. Sort of like an Eastern God of War. Minus the bloody mess and countless number of godess' to sleep with. No Asura doesn't need poon. He has rage. A rage that is apparently so powerful you dont need poon.... Somethin' worth investing in if it were real.

One other MAJOR tid bit to note. If you for any reason don't enjoy watching Anime. You probably won't enjoy Asura's Wrath too much. The game plays EXACTLY like an Anime series. All the way down to that thing they do with the Title Screen in the middle of an episode. In fact the chapters are called Episodes. And every time you finish one you get a sneak peek of the next. Just like an Anime series. If that doesn't bug you and you just love kicking the living shit outta stuff, Eastern style. Than you will most likely enjoy this game.

Did i mention that its fairly easy. You won't be breaking your controller trying to beat any bosses here. At least out of anger. The only broken controllers will be caused by the crazy button mashing and thumbstick rotating. At the end of each Episode your are ranked by your performance, from E-S like the traditional Eastern game. S being the best and E being the shittiest job you can perform. Nothing too hard about it. Unless, you are like me and are a perfectionist. There you may find some trouble.

Well over all when you break down all its aspects. Its a solid game, very solid. I'll be giving this little number a 10/10. Action at its best. Like i previously stated, if anime for any reason isn't your cup of java. Than i wouldn't count on enjoying the game, at the least i would borrow it from a friend or try to find it used somewhere like Gamestop.

Capcom's goin'n hard this year.

Sup Ya'll! Ima kick shit off real quick with somethin' that ive been talkin' about for a hot minute. CAPCOM RUNS THE MARKET. Allow me to explain. Capcom started its run as one of the leading developers back in 96' with the release of Resident Evil and with the continuation of the Mega Man X series. These cats took that shit and ran 300 wit it. By launching titles like Dino Crisis, Street Fighter Alpha and eventually taking the lead on PS2 with games like Devi May Cry, Onimusha, Viewtiful Joe, Monster Hunter, and the obvious continuation of arcade classics like Mega Man, Final Fight, Rival Schools, and the ever epic Street Fighter. NOW These dues are lookin' like they bout to bust th' door off the industry AGAIN.

First off you have Asura's Wrath. This shit plays like God of War and DBZ making a porn directed by Street Fighter. Yea, that good. The sheer style and art direction behind this joint blows my mind alone. "But don't take my word for it"

This shit, THIS SHIT?! The kind of change the industry needs from all these little fag-tag kiddie COD play along games that seem to be flooding the cosmos with ass.

Next up, is one that im especially stoked for. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. A squad based tactical third person shooter, with ZOMBIES!? DUHHHHH-YEA!! Peep dat shite kid!

All kinds of fun to be had with dis joint, no question du.

At this point im imaginin' ya'll whiny ass niggas all like <bitchvoice> "Josh, Capcom isn't developing these games. They're just publishing."</bitchvoice> To which i respond.... E-A-D SON! Capcom has had years of experience and is putting most of they're work behind games like uhhh idk Resident Evil 6 and Steet Fighter X Tekken?!

Which brings me to my next gem of the line up. Street Fighter X Tekken. Ooooooohhh sooo many controllers will be broken and so many dignities will be lost. Haha, i can't wait. Witness the sickness ya'll!!

Nothin else gotta be said.

Finally i have a game that im not too familiar wit, but keep hearin' great things about. Dragon's Dogma. From what i've seen and heard Capcom is taking there company out of the comfort zone and tackelin' a traditional western style RPG that looks and resembles a mix of Skyrim and Lost Planet.

For all you hatin' ass niggas that didn't like LP... get over it and E-A-D!! Naw, seriously though this game looks legit. Most of the gameplay that i've seen revolves around 4 classes. The Strider, The Mage, The Ranger, and The Fighter. Each has there own unique attributes... duh. Here is a quick lil vid bit of the Ranger class.

The actual game looks and reminds me a lot of Skyrim. The whole Dragon soul/heart/random part of your retarded character, is all there. From what i understand character creation is prevalent in the game, but i haven't seen anything on it... dont know why, aks yo local Gamestop rep. Anyway, the game looks ill and adds to the crazy nice line up for this year so far.

Aight, so now that you VISUALLY see what m'sayin you can get what im talkin' bout. Capcom is making big things happen this year ya'll. Don't sleep on it.

ALSO: Make sure you get whats good if you haven't already. Dat Monokrome book has been out for like almost a quarter of a year. You aint got it!? What's up wit'chyu!?

On another note the home girl Mills dropped her book NAP so peep dat shit too. Word is bond yo girl gots mad skills.

Aight im out'chyo. Later.
